Ty’r Castell - (Welsh for ‘House of the Castle’) is a Grade II listed town house in Bridge Street, which leads from Chepstow (Welsh: Cas-gwent) town centre to the famous bridge crossing the River Wye between Wales and England.

This three storey recently renovated town house offers superb quality B&B and one of the best views of Chepstow Castle from a terrace on the ground floor as well as from a first floor snug lounge. Breakfasts can be served on this terrace if requested. All food choices are catered for.

The two bedrooms available are an en-suite double with shower and bath facilities and a double with a separate shower room.

Full continental or Welsh breakfasts are provided.

Our location is very convenient to local restaurants and pubs and also for the Offa’s Dyke Path and local walks around Chepstow as well as the Racecourse. Broadband is available as well as a TV in each room. Good bus and train services only 5 min walk from the house.

Places to visit:

Chepstow is a town in Monmouthshire, Wales, adjoining the border with Gloucestershire, England. It is located on the River Wye, close to its confluence with the river Severn, and close to the western end of the Severn Bridge on the M48 motorway. It is 16 miles east of Newport and 124 miles west of London.

Chepstow is most notable for its castle, the oldest surviving stone castle in Britain, and for Chepstow Racecourse which hosts the Welsh Grand National. The town is on the west bank of the Wye; adjoining villages on the eastern bank of the Wye, Tutshill and Sedbury, are located in England.

The river Wye is only 2 minutes walk from the house where you will see some spectacular views of Chepstow Castle and the River Wye itself. This B&B is very convenient for the start of the Offa's Dyke walk and a good stopping point on the John O'Groats to Lands End route. Bikers, walkers, golfers, racing enthusiasts are very welcome.
